Once a role is set up in Mokka, you can launch it and start receiving candidates. The pre-screen system automatically evaluates all applicants as soon as they apply, so you always have an early view of their potential.
Launching a Role
After setting up your screening configuration, launch the role from the dashboard.
Candidates can enter your pipeline through three channels: ATS applicants (detected automatically), AI sourcing (if enabled), and shared application links that you distribute on LinkedIn, job boards, or directly to candidates.
If you have an ATS connected, candidates apply as usual through your ATS. Mokka detects new applicants via the ATS connection, prescreens their CV automatically, and (if enabled) sends the Mokka invitation. Auto-invite means invitations are sent as soon as a new ATS applicant is detected.
If you do not have an ATS connected, candidates will only appear if AI sourcing is enabled or if you share the application link with candidates. See the "Getting Candidates Into Mokka" article for details on application links and sourcing.
Sharing Application Links
After launching a role, click the three-dot menu on the role card to find two link options. You can now copy branded short links for both the application and job preview pages, which are pre-fetched for faster candidate access.
Application link (recommended) -- Candidates first submit their resume and complete application questions. If a pre-screening interview is enabled, they receive a separate invitation afterward. This two-step flow leads to better candidate engagement and higher completion rates.
Full assessment link -- Candidates complete everything in one session (resume, questions, and pre-screening interview). Less recommended because completion rates tend to be lower.
Mokka's AI uses inputs like the role pitch, success criteria, smart outcomes, and comprehensive contextual data, including uploaded files, fetched URLs, and AI interview transcripts, to generate the content for these landing pages, including accurate display of benefits such as Medical, Equity, and Days Off. AI extraction, which processes this data, is now triggered explicitly rather than automatically. If you choose to skip the AI interview during role setup, a processing overlay will appear while the job description text extraction runs.
Always use the Application link unless you specifically need candidates to complete the full assessment in one go.
You can post the link on LinkedIn job postings (use the external application URL option), other job boards, social media, email, or your careers page.
AI Sourcing After Launch
If sourcing is enabled for the role, Mokka's AI agent begins working automatically after launch. The agent searches across 250+ job boards and 850M+ passive profiles, sends personalized outreach, and delivers pre-vetted candidates into your pipeline. No additional action is required from you. Sourced candidates appear alongside inbound applicants with clear source indicators.
How Prescreening Works
Mokka automatically reviews every applicant through a multi-stage process.
This ensures that even before candidates complete a full assessment, recruiters have meaningful insights.
Managing Candidates in the Pipeline
Invited Tab -- Shows candidates who are invited but not yet completed.
All/New Tabs -- Show candidates who completed Mokka assessment or whose invitation expires.
Filters -- You can filter candidates by completion level (CV only, Partial, Full).
Visual Tags -- "CV only," "Partial," and "Invited" labels make it clear where each candidate stands.
Role Configuration Options
Resume Screening -- Always enabled, forms the foundation of prescreening.
Assessment Components -- Optional modules (accomplishments, video) can be toggled on/off per role.
The Job Location section in role settings is hidden when sourcing is not enabled for the role.
Tips for Recruiters
Use the Application link when posting on LinkedIn or job boards, especially without an ATS connected.
Enable sourcing to supplement inbound applications with pre-vetted passive talent.
Use CV-only prescreening if you don't want to invite candidates to full Mokka assessment, e.g., if you have another assessment later in the pipeline.
Candidates with only CV data will still appear in the pipeline, so you never lose visibility.
